About Me

I am a qualified person-centred counsellor practicing in the Manchester and Tameside area, as well as online UK-wide.  Being person-centred means that I am here to listen and give you the space to explore your emotions, thoughts and behaviours, supporting you in finding ways to heal and progress. I currently work with students in Greater Manchester and with Homes of Hope (a charity providing supported accommodation to people at risk of homelessness) and I see my own clients privately. I have worked with Macmillan Cancer Support in the NHS and Trafford Carers Center.

I am a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists.

What Does Counselling Look Like?

Everyone is unique and will experience counselling differently, though it is quite normal to feel uncertain or anxious at the beginning.

I offer an initial call to make sure I am the right counsellor for you. This is free and gives you the opportunity to ask any questions you might have with no obligation to proceed.

Should we decide to work together, the first session is a chance for you to talk through key relationships and events that have brought you to where you are, giving a good foundation to begin counselling. This helps establish goals and direction for our work together.

Subsequent sessions would be based around the goals you have for personal growth and development, or any immediate situations you are going through.
